Mahraz Ji said, "our society has been divided in many ways.
We are divided in many
religions, castes, creeds and sects. In fact we have gone astray from the real path of
dharma, i.e., the path common for the total mankind. 'Das Dharam' founded by Mahraz Ji
does not believe in being a namesake of Hindu, Christian, Muslim or Sikh. It urges
Hindus to be true Hindus, Christians to be true Christians, Muslims to be true Muslims,
and Sikhs to be true Sikhs. All religious people find faults with the beliefs and
faiths of others and praise their own ideologies. Such people have strayed away
from the spirit of true dharma i.e. Being a Humanitarian. "Das Dharma" is making
all out efforts to bring everybody at par by removing the barriers of hatred
among people of different castes, creeds, sects and religions.
The Founder of Das Dharam, His Holiness Huzur Mahraz Darshan Das laid down the
following five principles:
1. SACH
2. SIDAK
3. SADH SANGAT
4. SHAHDAT
5. SARBAT DA BHALA
I) The main principles of the Das Dharam:
- To speak the truth, stand by the truth and sacrifice to uphold the truth.
- To seek and work for the well being of one & all (irrespective of caste, creed or
religion)
- To be content and have faith in god.
- To attend spiritual congregations/discourses.
- To sacrifice the five evils (lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego)
- To respect all the religions, their holy scriptures and their places of worship alike.
II) The greeting slogan of the followers of Das Dharam is:
Nanak Naam Chardi Kala
Tere Bhaane Sarbat Da Bhala
III) Identity and the goal of Das Dharam:
- Clean and white clothes with black shoes and white socks are prescribed as
uniform by Huzur Mahraz Ji for the sewaks, Wearing anything over the uniform
is prohibited. Hands are to be kept behind when on duty. |
